SUMMER CAMP 2020

With the limitation of field trips, invited guests and group sports,  this year, the summer has been unlike any other in the past,  but we still try to follow the past summer camps’ themed program. Each week, a different theme is supplemented by a fun activity. So far, we have had a Dance Party and Aerobics in the gym, Costume Dress Up, Water Play, a virtual visit to the Brandywine Zoo, Carnival games and watched movies which are shown to enhance these weekly themes. Of course, the time spent outside is always a big hit, especially if it’s an opportunity to dig in the mulch or make those mud pies! We have kept the class groups small and maintained the same routines the children are accustomed to. The staff has been diligent with cleaning and sanitizing all surfaces to keep themselves and all the children healthy. They have had to go above and beyond to provide a safe, comfortable, and happy environment for our students.

Upcoming Events – September 2020

7       LABOR DAY- EDU-CARE CLOSED
8       Preschool 1st Day
28     Daycare Day

As we get ready for the new school year, some of the school age children will be starting school with remote learning.  Edu-Care will only provide childcare for those children who will need to stay at home and will not be going back to their school building. But unfortunately, if your child has to be present for live online lessons, we are unable to accommodate this, as we do not have the technology to facilitate live online learning at the center.
Please contact the office staff if your school age child will need to attend Edu-Care for childcare until the schools resume in person instruction.

Value of the Month
Each month the children learn about a moral value. These values help to develop social skills which are important throughout a child’s growth and development.
During the month of September, the children will engage in activities which promote MANNERS.
October’s value of the month will be RESPECT. Parents are encouraged to reinforce these skills at home.
